Default Bryers ice cream shock horror

I've always thought highly of bryers brand ice cream. The ingredients in their vanilla ice cream are really simple, cream, sugar, vanilla, and maybe one or two other wholesome things.

My wife bought a newer kind of bryers that has candy mixed into it and it's got a lot of ingredients that don't look too wholesome to me. Fortunately they still sell their traditional kind.

I don't hold it against them to sugar up their product line with industrial sludge ingredients. That's what people want to buy.

i can't imagine eating raw cookie dough or cake batter,
but as you said, that's what some people want.

When I was a teenager on the farm, our milk was shipped off to Breyers in New Jersey. Back then, we could not find any Breyers in our area, so we didn't get a chance to sample the ice cream our milk was used in.

Now, Breyer's is found in a much wider market.

I loved raw cookie dough, oatmeal or chocolate chip. The ice cream, not so much. Nowadays, I don't eat cookies, dough or ice cream.

Spring for Häagen-Dazs. Actual i really like bryers but i only buy simple flavors like chocolate, vanilla or strawberry even when i spring for the high end ice cream. Dont like peices of stuff in my ice cream beside maybe fruit.

I've come to enjoy Publix Premium store brand ice cream and frozen yogurt. Most if the time the price is $10 for a gallon. Bryers is good but the boxes are small, as are most name brand ice creams, except for Blue Bell, and it's mighty pricy for a half gallon.

We just started getting blue bell in my area in the last year or so. It's not bad at all for the price. Better than blue bunny thats for sure.

I know the Blue bell ice cream is good, from my years in Texas, but I am surprised that you don't care for Blue bunny.

Until a couple years ago, I could buy Blue bunny at Walmart, and truly liked it ! ..But I see very little of it there now days..

It's made in Iowa, isn't it ?
