Default Since my wife is in Anchorage visiting the granddaughter

The oldest daughter & husband & grandson came over yesterday. She brought her new air fryer. She made a big pan of scalloped potatoes, fried chicken breasts, and fried salmon. She fried the chicken breast strips some in a cast iron chicken fryer and some in the air fryer. The salmon she hot air fried.

The air fried chicken strips were so-so, while the fried in oil were delicious. The salmon was excelant in the air fryer.

Been thinking about getting an air fryer. Most I have looked at, seem small for the price. I need to here more about them before I bite.

I have always wondered about those air fryers. Seems like it could work for some things but others need good old fashion boiling fat.

Here about 3 weeks ago I picked up a new wave convection oven for 2 dollars at a garage sale. It will do the same stuff as an air dryer plus slot more. Made one of the best beef roasts I've ever had in it the first day I had it home. It also has done a fair job with fries, onion rings and potatoe cakes
