A bit overgurued and nary a mention of cooking temperature. You can make good eggs with nearly any pan and nearly any fat provided that the temperature is set right for the tools at hand.

Bacon fat yields the tastiest eggs? Not necessarily. Try seasoned chicken fat. It's very good too, as are others.

I prefer an 8 inch thick metal non stick skillet, or poaching.

Poaching is my favorite way to cook eggs. The whites are done with the yolk runny. Mmmm.

I wonder how they decided what oils to use.
Sunflower, Peanut, Grape Seed and a host of other sources add flavors and as Conan said chicken, duck, pork etc. fat also add flavour.

I grew up with my family frying eggs in bacon grease.
My gosh them was good eggs!

Nowadays, if Linda doesn't fry bacon first, then it's olive oil.

OR! I scramble in a microwave.

It ain't rocket science. It's an egg.🤗

There are lots of yummy baked egg dishes too. Stuff like this...

Another comment about the original post article. Why do we have to burn the crap out of everything? If we're going to do that, why not just deep fry the **** things?

Exactly! I didn't see one properly cooked egg in that entire article.

I got my live-in chef to read this article. Told her I wanted her to learn how to cook an egg right. After she explained to me what I could do if I didn't like the way she cooked eggs I told her it was a joke and she read it. She agrees that she didn't see one properly cooked egg. I agreed with her. If I didn't I would have to cook my own eggs. Her method is to use a non stick skillet with a light spritz of Pam. It does well with half cooked eggs that have those nasty, runny yokes to properly cooked eggs with firm yolks and nothing is burned.
