Default New Hawkeye Alaskan

Has anyone seen and/or handled one? I love the iron sights Ruger puts on their Hawkeye but wish they would just have stopped flush at the muzzle (like they used to) and not added the brake, non-brake substitute and even the tip protector. Just makes the barrel look hokey IMO. Anyhow, I'm curious too as to whether the Hogue stock is a good one. How's a 300 WM work out of a 20-incher? Is it just a hot 30-06? Regardless, I think the gun looks kinda cool and would offer a lot of weather protection over my blue-and-walnut stuff.

I think it is pretty cool. Sorry have not shot it yet. Has a green laminate stock. Bought it, took it home and cleaned it and oiled it and put a jap err scope on it and put it in the safe...
