Default Another New "Old Guy" from Az

Howdy,

New "old guy" from Arizona checking in. Been shooting most all my life. Seems like there is a lot of good info on this site. Thought I'd pull up a chair and listen in.

Welcome from another Zonie, you're correct, lots to learn here, especially if you like single shots.

"People in Arizona carry guns," said Detective David Ramer, a Chandler police spokesman. You better be careful about who you are picking on...

Welcome to the GBO Forums. Isn't there a chemical symbol on the Periodic Table of Elements labeled AZ? Probably should be. Fits perfectly. Don't know what element though...got to think on that one a bit. Good cross section of folks on the forums here. Probably tends more to us "Old Guys" and we certainly rise to the occasion in that.

What prompted me to join this forum was a recent pick up. I've always liked single shot rifles and pistols and and last week I found a H&R Classic Carbine in .45 LC, new in the box. Fun little gun for sure. Hopefully I can post a pic of it. I guess I'll have to work on the picture thing. Thanks for the welcome!

There is a TEST Forum at the bottom of the board for Trial and Error. There are also help threads on the ANNOUNCEMENTS Forum. If you need further help, I am only a PM away. I too have one of those 45 LC Classic Handi-rifles. Really nice little gun. Probably one of the few that will stay with me to the end of time. Easy round to cast and reload. Just plain fun to shoot. Throws a chunk of lead. Makes a big hole to boot. I don't know how "long range" it might be. Within 50 yards though I am certain it will get any job done. It is fun to wander around with one round in the chamber and three rounds sticking out of the spaces between the fingers of my left hand for quick chambering.
