Beretta 1200 help needed

Hi,
I recieved a Beretta model 1200 12gauge for Christmas. No box or paperwork.

Its the 1984-88 model (not the 1200 "F") but not sure the diff. between the 1200 & 1200f, if there is any. ??? It just says 1200 on the side.
Beautiful wood stocks, fixed choke (modified), ventilated rib 28' bbl, mint condition. I dont think it has ever been fired. :o

The little I've been able to find online hasnt been much help...And I already contacted Beretta N/A for a manual and its basically a gun safety booklet. I have Ithacas & Remingtons but this one is a little perplexing. ???

Any tips or info would be greatly appreciated...I think there is something strange about the way it is loaded but not sure ?
I also read that it is the same gun as an older model Benelli but not sure on that one either ?

Thanks,
Eric

To load the weapon from its magazine tube, place the weapon on SAFE. Then insert rounds into the tmagazine ube. Then find the 'little button' at the rear of the loading port. Depress it. It will release a shell into the shell carrier at that point. Retract the bolt handle and allow it to slam forward, chambering a round. With each pull of the trigger a shell will automatically be released intot he shell carrier and delivered into the chamber. If you have any more questions, ask.

*NOTE* You can manually extract a shell from the weapon WITHOUT a new shell feeding into the shell carrier.

Thank you very much for the reply !

Can't find an owners manual through Beretta / Ebay / GunBroker.
Does any one know where to get a copy ?

An owners' manual for a Benelli M1 Super90 will suffice as the two firearms are almost identical.

I need your help. I have purchased one of the 1200's too. I absolutely love this gun. The best shotgun ever made.
I noticed yesterday when taking it apart that its is missing (or not I am not sure) a ring/washer under the fore end cap, on the wooden fore end. Does your have something on it? I am going to try to post a picture.
Does yours have one? Am I missing a part? if so, can you post a picture please.
