Default 4mm art straws

I found these art straws for $36.25 shipped. Plain white paper, 1800 count and 16.5 inches long.
They were shipped out of Houston.

Yes I am. The bottom end will be cut at an angle and the top will be split in half about a good 1/4". I got a bunch of black match I made and want to try it inside the straw. Plan on a little white glue on both ends dipped in fine black powder. All ways used black match in a straw which turns to quick match.

Here is a video clip of an experiment we did in 2014 to see how fast a foot long quill could communicate fire to the main charge under a 50 pound concrete bullet in our 9.25" mortar we called Big Thumper for the sound it makes upon returning to Terra Firma. We use a 1/4"wide strip of double sticky celephane tape covered with FFFFg BP on the tape inside the straw. We have about 1,780 straws left, if you ever need any more!

The frame rate is 1,200 FPS in this video.

I walks in my old brown gaiters along o my old brown mule,
With seventy gunners beind me, an never a beggar forgets

When M&T run out of straws, you can get some from me, I have about 1790 left.

We have some stickies in the FAQ's on making quill with these. Look them up. https://www.go2gbo.com/forums/88-blac...earch-gbo.html

They worked pretty good.

Funny how this just came up. Last week my father just gave me a box with about the same amounts stated above.

The link above now shows them at $66.20 a box. The ones I have came from https://store.schoolspecialty.com/OA...06&item=469205 they are currently listed at $40.12 a box.

If you use them "dynomike1x1" has a great offer and it would be worth talking to him about them. They do work and with those quantities they will last a lifetime....

If you make it idiot proof, then, someone will make a better idiot.
