What are the approved cartridges for hunting deer.

I know it is for pistol cartridges,but which ones???Thanks Huntz

Centerfire rimless cartridges shooting bullets from .357” to .50” and a case length between 0.85” to 1.80”.
Centerfire rimmed cartridges shooting bullets between .357” to .50” and a case length between 1.285” and 1.80”.
The above cartridges are chambered for handgun use.
Rimmed cartridges would include the .357, .41 and .44 Magnums, .45 LC.
Rimless cartridges would include the .40 S&W, 10mm Auto, .45 ACP, .45 Win Magnum.
In addition, the .375 Winchester, .444 Marlin and .45-70 are also allowed.

On the H&R forum the 357 Max and the 45-70
Are very popular. The 357 max can be loaded to about 2100 FPS with a 180 grain bullet.
And the 45-70 can be factory Ammo from trapdoor levels ( mild) 405 gr bullet to heavy hitter in a 300 gr bullet. Both are great calibers.
On the max you have to reload or get Ammo from someone like Reeds.
