Picked up a used Marlin 336(stole it really) in .35 Remington.

Date code puts it as manufactured between August 1960 & August 1961. JM stamped and obviously no crossbolt safety.

Gun had a Bushnell Banner 4X scope on it in a Weaver Pivot base/rings setup which thrilled me. A little freckling on the back side of the receiver which cleaned up pretty good.

I got rid of the scope and had a pristine Denver Redfield 4X scope with a post/crosshair reticle and mounted that into the Weaver Pivot Mount setup after I cleaned the gun all up.

Bore is excellent too, doesn't look like it was shot much, probably stored in a closet for many years till it came to the gunshop.

I have a Marlin 336 in .35 Remington.
Shot several deer with it.
You're going to love it.
I think she's going to be one of your favorites from now on.
I do however still have a1980 336 in 30/30 that I carry in the truck.
Marlin made fantastic lever actions.
