gcrank1 Segregating and dedicating my brass/loads for that gun sounds way easier and cheaper than rechambering which would give you specialized, dedicated brass anyway. Plus you get the joy of having beat the 'problem' with sound reloading techniques .

Recap
Throw powder
Seat bullet
Go shoot
Repeat as needed
That would work better for me if I didn't have 6 other 45 Colt firearms. Thought about rechamber to 450 Bushmaster, base is .500" taper to .480" Still just a thought. DP

Joe S. Have you seen the Skinner peep sight? It's a little more expensive but they are ROCK solid!

gcrank1 Huge chamber?, ie, oversize? Dont resize the cases (might have to 'index' them too) and use as large a dia. cast bullet as will comfortably fit into the fully fire-formed case mouth. A smidge of crimp will hold all together for field use.

dpe.ahoy I like my 45 colt, except for the huge chamber. Think I'll start a new thread for some ideas on what to do with it. Nice looking rig you have Joe S. DP
