jedman I was finally able to get a good shot on a decent doe last night just before dark. Glad to have the snow to make the drag easier and it sure helped with visibility.
Sure could have used one of them Sherpas.

bikerbeans Took my son out today and put him on a spot were I have taken several deer the past few years. He shot a buck about an hour later. It was a 6 pt earlier in the season, but had lost half its headgear, probably fighting. It was mid-afternoon and I was happy to get the truck and recover his deer, too windy for my liking. So instead of shivering in the woods at last light, I was home on the couch sipping on a homebrew. Like is good.

BTW, a 250g ftx, 2,200 fps MV, from a smokeless MZ does big damage to the boiler room of a whitetail.

Jal5 Keep warm. Will probably go out a couple of afternoon sits in the teepee blind. Amazing how just body heat of one person stays warm in that thing.

Good thing Bikerbeans straightened me out as I thought MZ season came in on Thursday today ! I would probably be in jail now.

If Beans straightened you out you probably look like an S curve, I guess that`s better than being in jail though.

I may as well make the coffee now as but it in Lima, it won`t be any colder. But if I can`t bring it on the bike I won`t be able to afford the gas.

bikerbeans Mr. Fish,

Can you buy me a coffee at Lima and bring it to me in Henry County? Don't ride your scooter, them drag pipes will scare the deer.

Catfish I will probably get out for a little bit, but with the Lima gun show this week end I will go to it some.

bikerbeans I am going but not till Sunday afternoon when the temp is supposed to reach the mid 20s.

No worries about ignition with a sealed breech, 209 primed smokeless mz.
