carbineone1964 It is not like there were not millions made, they are not that rare by any stretch, Pages of them on Ebay and supply places.

It is not like I am looking for a WWII M1 Carbine Bayo. They are getting pricier and a little harder to find now.

This was my mistake, but I put a nice one with sheath on the CMP Forum a couple months back, and had to wait two weeks to even sell it for 27.00 shipped. We did not build the kids A2 till after I sold the Bayo, always goes that way.

We would like to stay original, as the upper is all USGI. Probably just grab a Ebay one. Thanks

goodshot Since most of us are not going to use it for real the repro may be up your alley.
You also won't feel yourself aging waiting for someone to find the bayonet bucket.
best wishes

105745 If you don't find an issue one, CH Kadels, and Smokey Mtn Knife Works both have repos for $20. I bought one for an 870 that I put a bayonet lug on. You might have to do a little engineering on it but they do work and they do fit an AR and they look right.

carbineone1964 No hurry Goodshot.

No dies to exchange Hilltop. That looks like a decent one though. But probably a little steep for us. Thanks for the offer though.

We actually would rather have a later one than Vietnam Era. Later ones seem to bring less. The A2 Clone we built for the Son is of course a later representation. He does not have a A1 clone. Have even considered a M9. But I do not think those were really put in service much.
