he was, several times. he was a city marshall, a revenuer, and a "special investigator"
at least one time each. he came out of retirement especially to get the barrows.

actually, it's in Waco, but that's sorta on the way to San Antonio from here.

SargeMO I got a cell photo of one of Frank's Colts at the NRA Museum in Springfield a couple of years ago.

Article does say that his regular carry was a SAA 45 Colt named Ol' Lucky

... in case anyone else besides me had their romantic notion of the wild west jeopardized by the inclusion of a Luger in the picture.
