zoner its possible there could be some loktite or something in play,never worked on a Makarov but have worked on some dovetailed sights. Maybe try touching the tip of a soldering iron to the rear sight itself. It could also be that its just super tight without any adhesive. Put the slide in a padded vice and hit it with the punch and hammer alot harder than you thought you'd need to....good luck

Makarov rear sight

Mine shoots about 2" left at 50'. It is my understanding the rear sight is dovetailed and it appears to be but I cannot budge mine with a hammer and punch. Currently soaking it in some penetrating oil. Am I missing anything here?
