|mauserand9mm||I wasn't there when it happened but he told me that he didn't realise that he had broken a bone at the time. His hand was sore and swelled up and he couldn't grip anything because of the pain. It was after he got back to town and saw a doctor (and got an x-ray done) did he discover that one of the bones was fractured. He was lucky and only needed it to be put in a cast. I think it healed relatively quickly. He always uses two hands to fire that pistol now.|

I had a 500BPE that I loaded with 147gr of FFg
it was a hammered double rifle, and when you touched one off, it would stand up 45*
I simply cannot imagine trying to touch off a NE with one hand in a light gun!

|mauserand9mm||No thanks. I have a 500NE rifle and that is the limit of my recoil tolerance, let alone in a handgun. A friend of mine has a BFR revolver in 45/70 and he broke a bone in his hand when he tried firing some stout loads through it single handed.|

|Lt. Dave||I would need a hard hat to protect my skull from the barrel muzzle flip. One shot and I'd be done.|
