Is a cute little thing.
Those trunnions could be pretty easily sleeved to dia. and length for that carriage.

Golf Ball Mortar for Sale
Here posting a GB mortar I have on offer in response to Onegreatshot's post expressing interest in one.
I have had this for several years now, bought the barrel alone from a maker in Michigan who made several of these. As far as I know this is the only one that was made with a powder chamber (at my specific request).
I then had the barrel alone, with no carriage, for a long time, then acquired the hardwood carriage shown, which was made by another craftsman, with a wood barrel, signed and dated 1974. The barrel is a very close fit, and required only the addition of some small pieces of clear rubber tubing around the trunnions to mount the barrel, which at 1 inch diameter are slightly smaller that those of the original wooden barrel (and also shorter). Barrel weighs about 12 1/2 pounds, carriage 3 1/2.
This barrel has a bore of only a hair over 1 5/8 inch, so a very close fit for a golf ball, very little windage (thus no patching is needed, or even possible). Powder chamber is approximately 3/4 x 3/4 in, holding 100 grains. This is a very sturdy, robust barrel with 5/8 inch walls. I have no practical place to shoot golf balls really, need to let this go.
Asking $400 plus actual shipping costs to buyer's location. Please send me a private message to sort out details of payment and shipping. Reserved for now for Onegreatshot, if they are not interested then I am wide open to other buyers. Happy to answer any questions or send more photos, Thanks.
