550-1 Barrel code

I have several of these and all have the normal Remington barrel style. This on the only one I have ever seen with numbers in it. KC 41. Thanks Lou

Gunfixr Iirc, they were making them around WWII. I've had one, worked on a few, but wasn't really looking at the code.
Not a bad rifle, runs good. Kind of a bear to really clean. Still runs shorts after the floating chamber gets locked into place with crud.

Model 550-1

Barrel date code is (KC 41). I have never seen anything like that on any of My other remingtons. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks Lou
