ironglow I dunno, but I was in a Port Arthur pawn shop in 2009 and spied a real nice Marlin 60 commemorative.

I couldn't get them to sell it to me..they said "contiguous states" only.

Now with our slippage into all blue government..king Kwomo has decreed that there will be no contiguous states buying or selling.

spruce At least some states (Michigan is one of them) allow purchase of long guns only in bordering states. Only way to legally purchase a long gun is any other states is to have it sent to an FFL in Michigan.

And I believe only persons from bordering states may purchase in Michigan.

That's right, non-residents cannot purchase handguns but long guns are OK if you pass the background check. I think the handgun restriction is Federal, along with the minimum age of 21 for handguns. Most states impose no additional restrictions beyond the Feds.

DEACONLLB I am not sure about all states but I can drive down to Texas and buy all the longs guns I wont as ling as I pass the background check but no hand guns must be the same in Colorado.

ironglow The local authorities are quite certain it was suicide..

Just think;

Is it in any way possible that she had no evil intentions at all, but with the constant vilification by the media, a scared 18 year old girl lost hope, and was badgered into committing suicide?

Something to think about... we all know how the media in general treats gun owners ! They assume each of us are evil to start..

Sandhillbilly Programmed. Bet she was seeing a shrink. Someone needs to find out if so, and who.
