Freezer That's some nice work! My last project was a Mossberg 500 that started life with a plastic stock, it looks a lot better with a walnut stock. Prior to that I an abused 870 police shotgun with a grade 5 walnut stock. It took some time but it is now the envy of the force.

Have you ever tried Permalyn? The stuff works great and a stock can be completed in a weekend.

gomerdog Just browsing this forum and came across this older thread. As I am interested in Stevens shotguns, both single and double barrel, I read this thread with interest, especially as I like to refinish the wood on older guns as well, but I may not be up to CW's standards. Nice Work!

Anyway...I was just wondering if you have patterned this shotgun or used it to hunt birds, etc. The finished product would look good in the field or woods or even a duck blind. Awesome!

Hey, instead of hijacking the other thread...

I had a screwy week last... never was able to stop at the gun shops in NH sand COTE in Eustis... VERY NICE STORE! I thought I was in Bean! Excellent selection of long guns supplies as well as light reloading section and buku ammo! I scored two used holsters for lil less then ONE would have cost new, a pound of 322 and Magazine. I even went there TWICE! I hit them again Sunday on the return trip thru and ate breakfast at the Northern Exposure across the street.

Thanks for the tips!

Glad you made it to Cote's, that's one of the best shops around. Their ammo selection is great. You're right, it's like a mini Bean's.
