GGaskills cannon looks fantastic. The trunnions on yours are below the centerline. Mine are on the center line. I got the plans for my cannon from Jerry Howell. I learned how to make that kind of cannon from the Lassen cannon making class. Taught by GGaskill
George is a great contributor to this board.
do you need my email?

Eventually. I couldn't find them last night on my current and previous computers. I am guessing I will have to find the CD which likely is in AZ. I will be there the middle of the month.
Hello George Gaskill did you ever find those 24 pounder naval cannon plans. Thanks Ken G
Sorry about this. Was just there but was sick for the whole trip and did little beyond sleep.

I'll try again next trip.
Thanks for posting these as I didn’t know that I had a model in bronze of a British 24 pounder. ( or at least a close approximation ) Purchased the tube probably 20 years ago. Found a carriage maker soon afterwards whose name I can’t recall but he built it in cherrywood. Overall length of the tube including cascabel 22”, bore 1 3/8”, weight including carriage 42 lbs.

Another view. Not sure if it’s a 24 pound or a 32 pound gun, comment’s welcome

How about a picture from ground level of the gun with some thing for proportion beside or just behind the gun so we can get some idea what the gun really looks like and how big the gun is.

Blaster Bob one of our old timers always asked for a powder can, but a pop can works also. Blaster Bob doesn't visit much but when I last talked to him he still lurks.
