I just traded for a 30 Herrett.I just know I dont have the right powder for reloading this caliber.I plan on loading 110 RN,130 SSP,and maybe even some 150 grains.is there a magic powder that would work for all three? My guess is no if so what should I be looking for?

Thanks :gun4:

30 Herrett

Hey Wildcat... Just got one of those my self. And as you can see form the post below this one, I got the barrel stuck on the frame. I did get off.

Was mounting a Swift 4X on it and was planning to shoot it this weekend. Oh Well...

I'm loading the 110 grain soft Point Round Nose with 2400 and will be trying others with the 2400 and H4227. will let you know what I come up with. Please do the same.

30 Herrett Powders

Wildcat, This is from the "Hornady Data Manual", 5th Ed.:
"Hornady 110 and 130 grain Spire Point bullets were acurate in our barrel, best loads for the former w/ Winchester 296 and H-1227. For the metallic silhouette shooter, our 150 grain Spire Point and 23 grains of IMR 4198 makes an excellent Ram load. The Hornady 130 grain SSSP, designed for pistol velocities, makes the 30 Herrett a top choice for hunters." Gary T. :)
