Those thinking of getting a 357 or 44 barrel, hornady will offer these bullets next year along with the 22wmr. Good news for non-reloaders. ;)

Here's a peek, the 22mag ammo is Vmax, not Leverevolution. ;)

"The new 357 Magnum LEVERevolution® ammunition features a 140 grain FTX (Flex Tip®
eXpanding) bullet at 1440 fps from a 7.5" revolver and 1850 fps when fired from an 18" carbine.
44 Magnum performance is equally impressive with its 225 gr FTX bullet leaving the muzzle of
a 7.5" revolver at 1410 fps and reaches 1870 fps when fired from a 18" carbine."

How do this compare ballasticly to premium ammo already out? ???

I think it's interesting that out of a rifle, both loads at 150 yards equal revolver velocity's at 50 yards. Not to shabby!!!

To shoot them in a handi, why not just buy the 35 cal spire points? They work fine for me. You just need to change your seating pin in your dies. the 357 pin will flatten the point of the bullet.

It sure would be real nice to have some .44 cal pointy bullets, at least the .358" SSP is available to handloaders for the mag/max, although I dunno how well it would work at mag velocities at any range that the spitzer would be of any advantage, it likely wouldn't have good terminal performance characteristics. I'm sure the FT bullets would be designed for the velocities the round is capable of. ;)
