I recently purchased a 375 win barrel and have started playing with it.What are you're favorite bullets and powders for this cartridge? What are you're average groups at 100 yards? What seating depth do you recommend? My barrel has a very long throat.What do you use you're 375 for mostly? Hunting? target?Sorry for all the ?'s i have several contender calibers but this thing seems to be the hardest to find good data on.Any info good or bad would be well recieved.Thanks in advance.

I have a 12" hunter in 375 Winchester and it's one my favorite Contender chamberings. Mine has a long throat as well, but I just seat the bullets out and it shoots better than either of my 375 winchester rifles. I shoot either the 220 gr. Hornady FP or the 225 Hornady SP pushed by RL-7. I don't have my loading data handy, but the Speer #12(?) has 375 Win contender data.

I have a S14 barrel. I shoot 220gr Hornadys and IMR 4198. I use it for target shooting and deer hunting although I have never shot a deer with it. Do not know how good it will group because I shoot mine with open sights and I am not the worlds best shooter with open sights by a long shot. It is fun to shoot though. Glad I have it!

I purchased a stainless 14" .375 Win. barrel just after last deer season. Have yet to kill anything with it. From the data I found, I have been using the 220gr. Hornady's with IMR 4198. I like the lighter grained bullet...I imagine that recoil will be greater with the heavier bullets. You have to watch bullet choice-a lot of the .375 bullets are designed for the .375 H&H, and probably will not expand properly out of the Win. as good. I believe that the Hornady 220gr. are specifically designed for the Win., they are a flat point and are fairly soft and should be deadly for whitetails, which I plan on hunting with the caliber. I have a Tasco red dot on top of it, so the long shots are not the greatest of groupings at 100, but I really like the pointability and quickness of the gun with it. Going to try to kill a whistle pig or two with it ASAP. Happy huntin'

I recently purchased a 375 win, in a 12 in. hunter. I am doing load research on it with 220 Hornady FP, with RL-7. The best group at 50 yards, you could cover it with a nickle. I will be using the barrel mostly for hunting. I like it alot, Steve

Finally got some good range time in.Tried 2400,AA1680,3031,H322 and R-7.The R-7 is awsome average 1-1/2 groups at a hundred yards with the hornady's.Recoil is lighter than my 44mag with 300gr hard cast.I think the people at the range had as much fun as i did just watching.LOL Thanks for the replies and P.M.'s
