How much better performance will I get with the 32" BC over the 22" standard using the same load? Should be more, but how much?

Do I go with a slower powder for the longer barrel?

Couldn't find anything positive with search.

Be well...

i cut my barrel from 22 to 16
i know thaTS NOT WHAT YOUR ASKING ABOUT
i chronograph 2 factory loads.........405 cast and 300 jacketed...
before and after ....[4 shots each i think]

both lost approx 100 feet per second

i have not chronied my 32 inch BC yet

a 45-70 shorty is SOOOOOO powerful
i don't see a need for any more barrel

but if i wanted to push the limits
i would do it with a 32 inch barrel.........AND A NEW RECOIL PAD

Slower powder for the longer barrel. ;) Works good for BP also.

I've shot the same load with 350gr jacketed bullets back to back in 22" and 32" with H322 and IMR4198, got about 100-150fps more velocity from the longer barrel.
