I'm needing to make some 58 Roberts cartridges for shooting. I'm sure I can get all my components, but not dies. After fired, I don't think cases would need full length sizing, but how do I "neck size" and bell the case mouth, and seat a bullet, crimp???, Without dies? I'm not getting a set of custom dies, I don't even have a press that will take the oversized stuff. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a cheap lee press. Challenger with the quick change bushings. I can't tell what thread the bushings are. Don't know if those dies would fit. Looks like about $300 for a die set. Was looking for some cheaper alternatives???

Honestly, looking at dies, I could get a set of lee 577 Snyder dies for less than a hundred bucks. Looks like if a fellow cut @ 3/8" off the bottom of a set of those, they'd be darn close. Case at mouth of the Snyder is .62, and the Roberts is .608. those are the specs I've been able to find anyway. But the Roberts takes a slightly larger bullet, so that seems backward? I know everyone and their brother uses 24 ga. Brass for both cartridges, so case head dimensions must be close enough. Roberts looks like a cut down Snyder.
