A Song in My Heart

I was thinking of the heartaches
That I had held so fast
All the disapointments
That seemed to me so vast.

Nothing seemed to ease the pain
Of worry held so long
My heart was oh, so weary
And empty of its song.

I turned my eyes toward Heaven
And went to Him in prayer
I poured out all my troubles
And found contentment there.

I forgave all I remembered;
The things that had been done
I also asked forgiveness
For remembering every one.

I rose from prayer contented
I barely remembered the start
Of my troubled soul so weary
I had a song in my heart.

A Song In My Heart

A song in the heart an often be an encouragement. I have at times in my life found the following song to be an encouragement, and have shared it with others as an encouragement for them.

Someday

Someday all heartache will be gone,
Someday He'll come to claim His own,
Sorrow will be over, every teardrop wiped away,
So when it hurts so bad you can hardly stand,
Just remember it will all be over someday

In a tiny church on a Sunday night after everyone had gone,
Grandpa sat on the first row crying all alone,
You see the woman he'd loved for so many years had died and gone away,
Then a still small voice whispered in his ear "You'll see her again someday"

There's a tiny grave where a mother weeps thinking of her little boy,
He was everything, all the world to her, her laughter and her joy,
Then she suddenly smiled when she thought about him runnig up and down the golden way,
And she said to herself as she turned to leave "I'll see him again someday!"

Someday, all heartache will be gone,
Someday He'll come to claim His own,
Sorrow will be over, every teardrop wiped away,
So when it hurts so bad you can hardly stand,
Just remember, it will all be over someday,

Jesus is the Lamb of God, the Way, the Truth, the Life,
He has gone to prepare a place for all who trust Him and obey,
And He promised that He'd come again to get His children someday

Someday, all heartache will be gone,
Someday He'll come to claim His own,
Sorrow will be over, every teardrop wiped away,
So when it hurts so bad you can hardly stand,
Just remember, it will all be over someday,
So when it hurts so bad you can hardly stand,
Just remember, it will all be over someday
