This is a very interesting scripture. Many blessings connected with knowing the truth and being free. Without the freedom to pursue the truth there is no way to be set free by it. Please let me offer some other scripture on the subject.

Let me ask you this Jeager, What do you think that means... ", and the truth will set you free."? Free from what? Do you know?

And Lee, Sorry but I don't get your response at all. Most of those verses are not even talking about freedom from the same thing. Though some are.

Is this a test? Do I have time to study?

I can tell you what it means to ME.
It says much about the turth.
That particular truth meant that Jesus was the Son of God sent here to redeem us from the wages of sin.
That 'truth' that the body of Jews refused to believe.
That only by God's Grace are we purchased by blood from certain death in sin.
That 'truth' frees us from condemnation by Jesus' undeserved sacrifice.
So it with all 'truth'.
The truth of Jesus was not believed by all, in fact only a few.
So it goes today. Most don't or won't see the truth, some try to unearth it and shed light on that which was hidden by the darkness of lies, half-truths, superstition, pagan myths and traditions.
