We had our early muzzleloader (doe only) season this week. The boy and I didn't see anything last Saturday, but Monday after work I went out behind the house and 2 came walking up the hill just before dark. They were only about 35yds away when they came out of the "thick stuff" and heading almost straight at me, so I held low on the neck of the bigger one. She took off at the shot but I heard her crash a few seconds later, so I thanked the Lord and went to start the work.
Load was a home cast .451 200grain flat point bullet in a Harvester 50cal sabot over 70gns of loose 777. I think this is my 4th deer with this gun. ;D

Congrats on the doe ! We had a early muzzleloader doe only season last year in October here in OH but the state decided to end it and our regular Muzzleloader season is in January.
Your off to a good start !
