I am hoping to get some info on which factory load your rifle likes the best. The plan is to get myself a nice little assortment of factory ammo and see what works best. From what I've heard from talking with people is that the Black Hills stuff is very good.
Any help would be great,
Steve

I will cover both your questions here. I use the 55 gr rem sp when I am using factory and it does fine with them about 1 in. or less if I do my part and my scope in mounted in weaver bases as they were on the rifle when I got in a trade but I usually use weaver anyhow as I have lots of weaver rings and its the most econimical way for me, nothing wrong with the leop bases and the rings good setup go with it . :D JIM

Well, I ordered some ammo online and it should be here at the end of the week for me to test.

What I ordered:

2 Boxes of 50 of each...

Black Hills 40GR V-Max
UltraMax 55GR Nosler Ball. Tip
Black Hills 60GR V-Max

Anyone have any experience with these loads?

Now which round would be useful for taking out a few coyotes? Maybe a hollow point...

I suspect that with a 1:12 twist my new rifle will like the heavier bullets the best.

I once shot a Remington VS with the (if I remember correctly) Black Hills 40GR V-Max laods. Groups were about 1/2" an inch, but then again that gun seemed to shoot virtually every load about 1/2" an inch. Then again, none of the loads were over 55 grains. I don't know about the 60 grainers.
