A barrel crown is the end of the barrel muzzle where the bullet/ball exits. They are usually finished with a radius, sometime squared off. It is supposed to remove any sharp burrs that could force the projectle to take a random path and affect accuracy.
stak,
With your recessed crown you can recrown, but it will imost likely be unnecessary. As stated earlier, the reason for an internal crown is to reduce the possibility of damaging the end of the rifling.
