I am new to IHMSA and would like input to help me decide on the best barrel length for small bore .22LR competition-the 10" or 14" on a T/C Contender? I want to put a scope the barrel too; any recommendations?

The 10 is legal for production and standing. The 14 is legal for unlimited, unlimited any sights, and unlimited standing. I say get both, mine shoot great with wolf match target. Dan

It really comes down to which class (or classes) you want to shoot in, and whether you'll be getting afactory barrel or after market custom barrel.

Thanks for the info. Of course I'd like[/color] to get one of each, but for now I'll start with the 14", as it would be compatible in length with the 45-70 I do have. Will probably get it from Ed's as his prices seem to be the best around (that I've seen so far).
