What can you guys tell me about him?
I have visited his web site and for some reason I am not real anxious to due business with him.
Is there someone else that offers springs for the encore to lighten the trigger of the encore?

Mike Bellm

Ok, so he may be somewhat too opinionated for you, but for
the most part, his methods work. Did a trigger job using his
CD and springs. The Encore trigger went from a creapy so, so,
to something very professional. Can't brag on it for myself,
just following Mike's directions made an amazing difference.

I just ordered encore springs from Mike , I knew nothing about him prior to this . I just wondered as I have read on some other boards that he is banned from this forum, I would guess That it is a result of him likeing to stir the pot a little to strongly .

Mike Bellm works!!!!!

8) I read a lot about this guy before I sent my Encore to him last year. His positives way outnumber his negatives ways. There's always 1 person that you can't satisfy anyway. He e mailed me when he received my frame, kept me updated on progress and guaranteed his work. I got it back in less than 2 weeks and my groups went from 1.5 inches at 100 yd. to dime size. Great guy to work with and have never met him. His reputation is fine with me, recommend him to all.

Does anyone know if Mike still does rechambers? I had heard that he was getting out of that business and was only going to do new barrels (ordered thru VVCG, I presume?). Rechambering is not listed in his new on-line store as an option.

Just curious ...... Thanks, Crayfish

I have been doing business with Mike and couldn't be happier. He is a little straight forward and that smarts people with big ego's.

I was going to have him chamber a VV barrel but was told by VV that they would have to charge me full price, as if they had chambered it. Guess Mike was doing too good a job!

I understand that you should contact Mike with any work you want done and he will let you know when to send it to him. That should cut down on waiting time.

So is it the rule rather than the exception that most of the work Mr. Bellm does will require at least one calender year to complete. He doesn't answer my e-mail to check status, his phone number is unlisted. How does one get this guys attention? :?:

 I've worked with Mike on a number of projects. He has done rechambers for me in the 308Bellm and the 358 Bellm. The barrels are excellent. The most accurate in my collection. I've hunted both guns and they have performed flawlessly.

You do have to keep after him to get your project completed. But you will find that the work is excellent.

I'll work with Mike again!!

Yes, Dennis is his name, ask him, he'll tell you.

I have purchased his Trigger Job CD and some springs and he seemed personable enough, although I see where he takes awhile for barrel work.

I have purchased trigger springs, oversize hinge pins, and stones for him and had nothing but good luck with Mike. His stuff always arrives in 3-4 days as he has said. I would like to thanks him for sharing all of his knowledge with us and letting the rest of us have better guns for it....Thanks Mike......Leon

I'll second that -- Amen! His instructions and trigger springs for
a decent trigger job alone is like a small miracle. Those who have
had their eccentric chambers reamed to a different cartridge size
along with new crown jobs finally have very accurate rifle barrels
that otherwise were just plain junk.

Bellm and email

Miller -

Make sure you are using Mike's correct email - he changed it around 9/02 (not sure on the date though).

His email is [email protected] (cap's for readability only).

He is normally really good about replying, but I know that he has had a couple stretches this month (2 or 3 days at a time) with no electricity.

Please let me know if you can't raise him and I'll see if I can raise him for you.

Steve
