You can't shoot .44 mags and .44 Spec in a .444 Marlin chamber because the .444 Marlin has .015 taper and the chamber is too large at the rear. If you only have to run the reamer in halfway, you only have .007 taper and you are back within tolerances.Varminter said:A 444 reamer will not work.
