Well for Hunting if u can at NIGHT u can call them better that night than daytime and for Tapes i have used these tapes to call Bobcats in made by Johnny Stewart yellow hammer woodpecker and the Superjack tape and the rodents in distress cottontail rabbit in distress chicken in distress all of these tapes will work on bobcats hope i have help u good luck
does the light scare them at night....how loud do you turn the call on..do you let it play continuously..are they worried about scent...any pointers would be appreciated...i have never hunted bobcats before
I would use the red lens and dont worry about the wind as much as hiting yourself with the light dont let the light hit any part of u i have had cats come up down wind of me they hear the sound and they want to know what it is Now on the other hand if a coyote ever winded u he would be goneeee but a cat isnt as bad i would start off calling lite then about 5 min. or so get a little louder and so on u need to sat up to 45 min. in one place one day i sat for an hour and just thinking about getting up and the cat come out of no where and at night i put a tape in and let it go u will need a to get yellow hammer wood pecker tape it is a good cat tape if i can help u any more e mail me good luck
