Hopefully, my FA (and the only one of its kind in Denmark) will be arriving shortly. And it's about time, I ordered it back in march, and I'm pretty tired of waiting for it. Now, is there anything I should pay special attention to when braking it in? Start off with mild loads? Removing and cleaning the cylinder more often in the beginning? Anything I need to know? Or should I just blast away as much as I want??

Thank you.....

Quite frankly I've never bothered to "break in" a firearm and most of the guns in my safe were purchased new.

Wiking,
I predict that you're going to like that Mdl. 83 .357. You don't need to adhere to any special break-in procedure. Just clean it on a regular basis, and enjoy it.

Actually, the best way to break one in is to shoot 5 shots in two minutes, wait about 5 minutes, then shoot 5 more shots in two minutes. Do this four times and you are broken in. Here in the states we call this a silhouette match. You will have sight settings out to 200 yards and should be comfortable with your new handgun.

Enjoy,

Steve ;)
