Is the buckmark (especially the long barrel with fore-end) competitive in SB silhouette

What Class is the gun in?

Cheers from someone tring to get back in the game

PS, any good ranges near Tampa, I want to shoot pistol and rifle, but will shoot only one if the range is close.

Hello Paul,

Living in Oregon, I cannot comment on Florida ranges. However, a ten inch Buckmark is competitive in SB silhouette & is a Production gun. Thus, you can shoot it Production, Standing & Unlimited. If you are feeling really crazy, shoot it Unlimited Standing & Unlimited Any Sight against the scoped guns. It qualifies for everything but Revolver.

Additional information: We had a SB/FP match yesterday. The high score in SB-P was 38 shot by 2 shooters. One used a T/C the other a Buckmark. The tie breaker was 1/5 scale rams at 100 yards. The T/C won 2x5 to the Browning's 1x5. Yes, I'd say the Browning is competitive.
