Has anyone ever tried any of those cassettes that are supposes to attract hogs? I am real tempted to buy them and try it. Just curious if anyone else has ever used them?

calling pigs

i have called in pigs with my preditor caller i have used the hurt hog and piglet tape.

although my intent was to call in k-9's .

but what ever works.

I have tried Johnny Stewart wild piglet in destress tape to no avail. There may not have been any hogs in hearing range though. I have probably tried it half a dozen times without any luck, so it would be great to hear from folks who have had it work for them. It is kind of spooky walking back to the truck at 1:00 in the morning after playing that tape. Every shadow looks like a mean mama pig waiting for you.

i belive my pigs were called in by accident, but almost every time i use my caller for preditors i get pigs in my shooting range.
also i use a piglet decoy when calling.
either way i get dogs or pigs makes for a good hunt!

try Haydels boss hog grunt call

it seems to work well as i called in my big boar with it and i was out today just playing around near a feeder and had some sws and shoats respond to it. i am going to do a little more testing but i beliee it works if hogs are in the vicinity.

i think it says on the tape that when using the piglet in distress, be careful because the hogs can come pissed off i think there are some hog feeding frenzy tapes too
