Anyone have any experience in switching over an out of province hunting licence to an Ontario licence? My dad has been living in Ontario for 25 years, but has never hunted here. Every fall head heads back East to hunt deer with his old crew in Nova Scotia. Now he's thinking he'd like to do some hunting with me this fall and he's wondering what it will take to get the Ontario licence. (He got his PAL recently by taking the 2 day safety course). Any ideas?

Thanks,

Changing a Nova Scotia hunting licence to O

I think the MNR will recognize an out of province licence as proof of saftey training, and all you have to do is buy an outdoors card.
The Ontario Gov't MNR site may have the info.

Thanks John Y Cannuck. I figured it would probably be that easy but I couldn't find any info on the web site or in the regs regarding out of province licences. That's why I posted my question. I guess I could have called the local MNR office...

Thanks again,
