I set the sensors of my Pact 1 about 10 feet from the muzzle of my rifles when checking loads. According to the writers most of us read I can correct the readings to actual muzzle velocity. How does that work?

Just as I thought. You've all read it too and didn't know what they meant. It's better knowing I'm not alone. :)

I set my censors at 15 feet and then look at the amount of velocity lost in the first five yards (in a computer ballistics program) I then add that amount to the chronographed velocity and it provides a "true" muzzle velocity. It is well within the shot to shot accuracy of any loads.

I had hoped someone would give me a qualified answer. Two answers and a web site is why I come to these forums. Thank You Sirs.
