Is it just my imagination, or has the asking price on orgional and post war mfg colt cap & ball revolvers been going down. I bought one, a second generation, in about 2005. It was new in the box at the time. I think I paid about $550 for it.

After that they kept going up till most were asking around $1000 for NIB guns. The other day I was checking out gunbroker and it seemed most of them were back down to between $600-700 range. Anyone been keeping up with the market on these post war colt cap & ball revolvers?

IME, the actual selling prices of many things fluctuate with both supply/demand & the state of the economy.

As in life, timing is everything.

Many astute stockbrokers, gun enthusiasts & others, can/do profit by buying/selling at the right time (aka: buy low - sell high).
