I was dinking around yesterday with some mild-mannered plinking loads and spied a prairie dog on his mound. From a prone position with revolver resting across my pack I shot over him 3 times before I realized I was hitting in the same place each time. Held on his shoulder and put a 200 gr. hard cast through his shoulders. 53 paces. Another sat up a little beyond the first and again I shot over him, once. The second shot rolled him, but could see his head and he moved so I tried one more and put it through his ears. 58 paces. I'm gonna have to take these loads to the range and see just what they will really do. I've had this gun just a couple of weeks but the more I shoot it the more impressed I become. I also loaded up some 320 gr hard casts with 22 gr H110 - max loads. This gun handles the recoil very well. I may need another one of these DW's in a .22 for my girlfriend... no really, it'd be for her! :)
