Last year, I purchased a brand new Baikal SxS 12 ga. The left barrel didn't consistantly ignite. Misfired about 25% to 30% of the time.

I returned it. Got it back. Same exact problem.

I sent it back. Waited. Waited. And waited some more.

Finally I got word that they are replacing it with an entirely new gun.

It's been almost a year since I initially purchased it (it spent most of that year with them, not me). Now I look on EAA's website and I can't find that gun described anymore.

It had 28" barrels, 2 3/4" chambers, faux hammers, choke tubes, and double triggers. The closest thing to that that I find on EAA's website has the 20" barrels. I hope they don't send me the 20" barrel version.

I guess I forgot to get around to asking the question.

Does anybody know if Baikal still makes the IZH43K with 28" barrels?

The next question, what is Single-Selective-Triggers? I like the control of being able to choose which barrel to fire. Do you have that control with SST?

Hi Black Jaque: I have the same model as you - never had a problem. I did have to return two 20" models - on one the rib never was soldered - Oppps!, the other one gave me trouble on the right tube in that it would not fire (trigger would not pull). They gave me a new one for the unsoldered rib and repaired the other. They were slow - v e r y s l o w in doing all of this, but it was done. Maybe they dropped the cocking handled 28" barrel model. I will check it out.

Hi Black Jaque - sure looks like they no longer list it on the site. Bummer, that is a neat gun - maybe didn't move too well or something. Mine works fine. Hope they can fix yours. :?

Alas, they said they were sending me a new gun. I'm guessing it's because they couldn't fix it.

I suppose I should contact them and see what it is they're planning on replacing it with. There's certain features I want, and other features I can compromise on.
