found a good looking spot,its about a 1/4 mile of dry bed with tons of gravel,and large rocks to boulders.i am going to find out if it is on private
or state land.its a branch of the manistiee river in kalkaska county in,
northern michigan.i don`t mind telling the local. near sharon rd and fletcher rd ,for you mich guys.would make a great group outing place.
i will let you know what i find out!

how do you find it on a dry bed? i am in northern wisconsin and i am wondering what kind of problems the dnr might be posing to you? if i knew what i was doing, i am sure i know of some really good places to go here in northern wisconsin.

There is gold in Pierce Co Myronman. that is where they figured the glacier stopped and deposited some gold. Traces in Douglas Co too so I would imagine there would be traces all over WI where the glaciers moved. Not that many I think look for it except for places like in Pierce Co where it is well known and folks pan for it. Jim
