Does anyone else on here use Duke traps. They are cheap and I like them. I really can't afford any other brand right now because I'm only 16 and struggle to find a job and go to school. They are strong and hold everything that I have caught in them.

16,why worry what others think--you said they hold what you have gotten into your traps--that is their purpose. They are strong enough for you--another plus.If you are happy with them ---that is all that counts.---there are many duke bashers out there--most have not even tried them--or they tried them many years ago before improvements were made. Most of my 330s are species specifics, but I have taken an awful good number of beaver in Duke 330s over the years. Dukes

I agree with Tom as if the trap works for you use it. I have a variety of dukes fm coilsprings to conibears in Dukes and they do the job fine. In fact some of the more expensive traps dont make the animal any DEADER than the Duke does and for a cheaper price!

I use alot of duke traps and they work fine. The price doesnt always reflect the quality. Keep that in mind. Good luck!

That's right! I have many dozens of duke traps.
The only complaint I have for them is that I did get some oddballs in my dozens. Some had to be worked on alot to get them ship shape. Then again, what new traps will you find that don't need some work. (that are affordable)

I have been using duke 330s for 10plus years and have had no trouble with them at all. I also bought some duke 110s and have not had trouble with them. Now this past fall I bought some #3 duke coils and wasnt happy with them at all. They need way to much work to get the even somewhat functional. I wont buy anymore of those until they rework them at the factory. Once the work was done to them that needed to be they are a very fast strong trap that should work for many years to come.

Clint,Bill Duke just sent me a dozen of their new #3 offset coils to try out.Very nice traps ,they have an extremely wide jaw face and the only thing I did was replace the factory chain and nite latch them. The Duke Company has been redoing a lot of their traps and the improvements are a real plus.
I have also been working with them on a total redo of their #1 stoploss,I just got the first prototype shipped to me--what a trap.It will be available in a few months. The Duke company is working to bring us some better traps. Tom

Bogmaster Im glad to hear that duke is looking at there #3s now and working them over. Ive got respect for the duke company they are listing to the trapper. I wasnt bad lipping duke traps by anymeans just passing along what ive seen from using them. Ive trapped right beside guys using 330s that cost alot more than my duke 330s and didnt see any advantage to the more expensive traps.

Bog thanks for passing along the information Ill be looking forward to seeing there coil springs after there reworked. And you can go to the bank that if there done right I will be buying them. clint

All I use is Duke traps and have never had a problem with them. I have dealt with Bill Duke several times and he really takes care of his customers and he listen to them to make better traps and because he does this I order my through him instead of another retailer. His e-amil is [email protected] or you can reach him at 662-494-6767.
