I made a mistake and stopped in the gun store. They have a encore in .22/250 with base and rings for $350. Only thing I see is that some amurture gunsmith tried to screw a hammer extension on the thing and it is a little ugly but fixable.

Any idea on value?

I would say thats a pretty good price if its in good shape. $400-$425 is probably an average price around here for a good one. Don't see how you could get hurt at $350. KN

Sounds like a decent deal to me, go for it. You can always sell that barrel and get another if you don't like that caliber.
