I posted this on the reloading forum too but thought to ask here as well:
:( I have a Factory Encore in 308 win. I saved all the brass for reloading but the other day when I was looking over my brass I noticed a shiny area just ahead of the extractor groove (I guess thats what you call it) on all of the cases I was looking over  . I can also just barely percieve what feels like a bulge and with good light while rotating the case I can see a raised section around half the case. Well here's my question is there something wrong with my chamber for the barrel? If I reload this brass is it going to blow up on me cause I really like my fingers just where they are. Should I send this barrel back to TC to have them look at it? Just looking for advice from you guys that are more experienced than I am. Thanks for taking your time to answer or attempt to answer my questions.

Mike,
The bulge you are seeing is the case expansion that allows the case to fill the chamber. It is normal and GOOD! Just try putting the cases back into the firearm and see if they fit without any pushing. If so just neck size - don't push the shoulder back - and load. They should just have a small amount of clearance in the chamber - .001" or so with the shoulder just touching the shoulder of the chamber. If you don't load too hot the cases will not need full length sizing or even partial sizing for several loadings. Once you have fired cases that will no longer fit back in the chamber you can adjust your die to just bump the shoulder back to the point where it will chamber and then leave the die set there.
