encore rifle
I have yet to own a 243 barrel, but I either have or have had a 308, 25-06, 223, 22-250 and a 260 Rem. All, with the possible exception of the 26-06 (the jury is still out) are capable of sub MOA accuracy right out of the bow. Come to think of it, I have shot .5 groups with all but the 25-06. For deer, the 260 is my favorite.
The factory trigger is a little heavy, but you can download a free instuction CD from Mike Bellm and a trigger spring from him costs under $10,... $8, I think. I've done a couple and after the first, it's fairly simple. My triggers are set at about 1lb.
My experience with TC has been positive. I've had the need to contact them a few times and always got what I needed with no hassle. You might read this forum and the TC Handgun for some differing opinions, but I think overall, we're satisfied.
