National Bullet Co. casts all different sizes of round balls at 19.00 $
for box of 500 balls and 7.00$ shiping, thats only about 5.50$ per 100.
My question is ? Ruger Old army says to use .457 ball National casts
a .454 will it work ? or to small ?

Ever buy from National Bullet co. Great pri

Everybody everywhere I have looked says the best accuracy for the ROA is with a .457 ball and 35g of appropriate pistol powder. I use 777 triple x equivalent. The prices are great but I'm gonna stick with .457 balls and conicals which National doesn't stock. Good luck.

Sorry, but after 30 years can say that .454 is definitely too small. Its .457 all the way for an Old Army. Might look into Lee molds.
