WOW! The comments are REALLY appreciated. This 1/4 scale Napoleon is clearly one of my favorites to turn. The Carriage is a most challenging build. It takes courage to make the decision to jump! Michael Elledge (ZULU) has done this to perfection and shared with the 'Board', details and techniques. His posts, pictures and enthusiasm have accounted for more than half of our Napoleon sales. Two more are almost on the way to Michael.
Jeff, we have actually made many more barrels than the 50. It started as a hobby making firecracker launching cannon. They would just about fit into your shirt pocket. I think that most of these were sold to teach kids about back powder. Too much fun for only 8 to 10 grains of FFG. See Backyard Cannon Fun here on the forum 15+ years ago. We almost set 'click' records at the time. We often ran 100 of these little barrels at a time. Many of these Customers returned to buy larger and larger barrels, 50 cal. 69 cal, one inch 1.032 and more.
