I'm about to purchase my first Contender, a G2. They've intrigued me my whole life but never shot one and never taken the plunge. It will come with a 14" 44 Mag barrel. The 44 is my favorite cartridge and I have a few other handguns in that caliber. I also want to get a 223 barrel. I've seen 223 listed as much as 23" long. What's your opinion of these. Are they shot with a bipod? I know a longer barrel in 223 has obvious advantages.
